Erie, PA: This Saturday the Erie Express will be hosting the 2x National Champion, South Buffalo Celtics in the Iron Empire Clothing Game of the Week. The Celtics come into the game at 1-0 after defeating the Pennsylvania Jaguars 28-16 last week. That was the season and PAFL opener for both teams. The Express were scheduled to open PAFL play in Akron, Ohio but the game was cancelled Saturday morning due to field conditions. The Express bring a 2-0 record into the game with wins against the Northeast Ohio Silverbacks 34-10 and Pittsburgh Rangers 38-6. This will be the first PAFL game of the season for the Express.

South Buffalo handed the Express their only regular season loss last year 55-19 in Buffalo. Erie took the final game of the regular season 23-15 in Erie. The Express are 1-3 all time versus the Celtics. South Buffalo won the 2014 PAFL Championship and lost last season in the Stars conference Championship Game.

In our last game WR Javon Rowan hauled in three TD passes, 2 from Maurice Williams and 1 from Chance Anzivine. RB-Allen Jones has 151 rushing yards through 2 games so far. The defense will be led by Darrell Fincher who picked off 3 passes last week against the Silverbacks, Chuck Wilson and Tony D’Albora are leading the team in tackles.

Kickoff is set for 5pm with intros starting at 4:45. Cathedral Prep Events Center 501 W. 12th St. Tickets are $5 with children 12 and under FREE.
