Express travel to Medina, Ohio to face Gladiators

The Erie Express will travel to Medina, Ohio this Saturday to take on the Ohio Gladiators. The original opponent was the Ohio Stallions but they folded before the season started. The league re did the schedules and had the Express at home versus the Cleveland Patriots however the Express could not host the game this week nor could the Patriots. The Ohio Gladiators, also with a vacancy on their schedule, reached out and have invited us down to play and we have accepted. The Gladiators come into the game at 2-2 on the season. They are led offensively by Lynn Townsend (Kent State University) 36 carries 168 yards and 5tds. On defense they are led by Brady Brooks (Western Brown) 20 tackles and 2 INT.
Last week the Express bounced back from their first loss of the season with a convincing 49-12 victory over the NWPA Rampage and moved to 4-1 on the season. During that game QB-Chance Anzivine set new Express records for most yards in a game (253) and longest TD (94). His favorite target was WR-Javon Rowan who also set Express records for most yards in a game receiving (203) and longest TD (94). RB- Allen Jones has 690 yards and 11 TDs so far.
The Express will be without starters DL-Dajuan Smith, DL-Serge Augustin, DL-Tyler Covato, LB-Mike McKinnon, DB-Dwaon Woodard, DB-Darrell Fincher. As well as FB-Frank Vicary, OL-Craig Newman, DL-Raheem Smith, K-Noah Ackerman, DL-Demetris Stevenson.
